Hard working
|
Working at maximum capacity by completing assignments and deadlines on time.
|
This is a valued attribute because employers seek people who are willing to put in the maximum amount of effort needed to complete the task at hand.

Independent
|
Being capable enough to work on your own without aid or assistance from others.
|
Although many employers require their staff to be effective in a team, some others might need their staff to work on their own because it means they can spend more time training other people..
|
Determined
|
Being applied when completing the task at hand.
|
No determination means a serious lack in progress and effort, which will lead to the business either losing money, customers or staff.
|
Tolerant
|
Adapting to challenging situations and responding appropriately.
|
Tolerant employees will reduce the risk of confrontations and arguments in the workplace.
|
Leadership
|
The willingness to lead a team successfully in order to complete a given task.
|
This is valued because every workplace needs an employee who knows how to control a group in certain situations.
|
Dependable
|
Being reliable in every aspect, such as being punctual every day.
|
A reliable workforce is an effective workforce, employees need to be dependable so the people higher up in the business will be able to trust them to complete their given task exactly how they were supposed to.

Confident
|
Being able to complete tasks without help and being able to fit in amongst the staff comfortably.

Being confident in the workplace leads to work being completed to a much better standard.

Problem solving
|
The ability to assess a problem and fix it on your own.

This is valued because it means the business can become self sufficient, and not waste extra money hiring people outside of the business to fix every problem.

Completing tasks/deadlines within the allocated time limit.

This prevents workers from finishing their tasks late and becoming extremely far behind.

|
The sharing of information between individuals by using speech.

This prevents people from misinterpreting eachother, which in effect lessens the chances of mistakes being made due to lack of communication.

Written skills

The sharing of information between individuals by using writing.
|
Written communication is much easier than talking face to face because of emails and letters etc.

| The ability to understand and work with numbers. |
This will be helpful to staff who's job is based around mathematics.

Creativity

The use of imagination or original ideas to create something.
|
Creative people within a business can suggest new and original ideas which could help the business to rise above its competitors.

This shows that an employee will work by the book and not step out of line by breaking certain company rules.

Health and safety
|
Regulations and procedures intended to prevent accident or injury in workplaces or public environments.
|
This proves that employees are knowledgeable in the field of health and safety which means less injuries will occur in the workplace.

Security
|
Being free of danger or threat.
|
This creates a positive working environment because all employees will feel safe in their workplace.

Keeping up to date with technology

Having knowledge about all of the latest technology
|
If new technology is introduced to the business then these employees will be able to quickly adapt and train others.
